Hi guzzzzzzzzz,this is snowflakes,you guyz are not responding,hope there is no probs? Anyway i want us to start the project right away. Although this is my first time of participating in geebiz,but jenna has given me a fascinating insight of what it entails.so i want us to start,but the question now is that where do we start from? do you guyz have any concept in mind? i have an idea but i dont know how it can be helpful.
CASSAVA STEM ROOT has any one heard of it before? CASSAVA is a plant with large roots,found mostly in south america,CASSAVA can be processed into many forms ranging fromglucose production todextrine,conventional food,flour market,ethanol,adhesives etc.If we can mae this the base of our project,we willcome up with a business proposal that is affordable for the world's 4 billion people who live on US$2 a day.cassava commercialisation is truly one of the mostprofitable businesses in the world and it does not discriminate investors.you can start it with $50 million and $50.the only condition is that you should do it right i.e the production stages.Cassava provides an investor wanting to produce glucose or any other component with the right variety.If there is any product in the worldwhere maize and potato is used for production,i can assure you of a cassave variety subtitution.
In cassava production there is what they call multiplication of seed.its of great interest for cassava stem compared with maize which has a multiplication ratio of 1:300.in the case of cassava production you get a multiplication ratio of 1:10.that brings a major constraint to cassava production and lead us to a research on how people can venture into it and improve their standards of leaving.I can sensitise you guyz more on this,but i want a response to this.What do you guyz think?Is it ok? Day One: Introduction
Hey guys! Welcome to the 2008 Global Enterprise Experience.
Our challenge over the next three weeks is to develop a six page business concept proposal on a profitable product or service that meets the needs of the world's poor.
This topic is based on the ideas of C. K. Prahalad published in his book, “The Fortune at the Bottom of the Pyramid”.
Usually we aim to develop products and services for the wealthy. However, Prahalad produced a series of case studies showing that there is a viable market amongst the world’s 4 billion people who earn less than US$2 per day.
In order to succeed in this market we must radically rethink our business strategy to achieve at least a 90% price reduction, while still maintaining world class quality. We must engage in partnership with the consumers, and match the product or service exactly to meet the consumer’s needs.

What an exciting challenge we have ahead of us!
Our work is to be submitted via email by GMT 23:59 on May 22.
Along with the business concept proposal, we must all submit a one page journal outlining our GEE experience and the insights we gained along the way.
Treat this blog site as your journal - use it to express your thoughts, concerns, questions, and ideas about our team challenge. Be as open or as frank as you wish. I believe it will be a good way of tracking our progress and development as a team, and may be useful when writing our final journal summaries.
It is also a good way for us to get to know each other on a more personal level, which will help to create better working relationships. It would be great if everybody could introduce themselves and their countries, even upload photos, so we have a good idea about who we are as a team.
Once the introductions are complete and the competition is underway, I suggest that we hold regular meetings using a media and time that is accessible to everybody. It is going to be very difficult to coordinate ourselves accross different timezones, so if we can organise some of the smaller details immediately it will make things run much more smoothly!
There are a number of communication options, such as MSN messenger, Skype video conferencing, Yahoo chatrooms etc. Please let me know which you would prefer.
